Converting to e-book<\/h1>\n

This e-book conversion service is intended for the small Publisher or the individual\u00a0author who wants to have her or his titles converted into one of the e-book formats. We offer\u00a0conversion of a whole range of books: Scientific, fiction and non-fiction. As a process, conversion is language-independent. Our own books are written in English or Dutch, but we have\u00a0experience in books written in other languages, too (Norwegian).<\/h1>\n

After conversion, the resulting e-book will be made available to the client without Digital Rights Management (DRM) \u00a0or Watermark lock so that they can be presented to online retailers or eBoekhuis.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this digital era, books are never forgotten. When all printed copies have turned to\u00a0dust, your e-book, at its e-bookshelf, will still be patiently waiting for the next eager\u00a0reader.<\/span><\/h1>\n

Conversion of MS Word or\u00a0LaTeX\u00a0texts into ePub or Kindle doesn\u2019t need to be complicated,\u00a0neither does it take very long or cost very much. The standard charge for\u00a0conversion from MS Word or\u00a0LaTeX\u00a0is\u00a0\u20ac\u00a099,- ($ 138) for a book of 250\u00a0pages. Additional cost factors are: the number of images and\/or tables in the document.\u00a0Since our procedure is based on\u00a0LaTeX, formulas do not present any problem or\u00a0extra costs. In the sidebar you can find some examples of cost calculations. You can\u00a0also get an impression of the expected conversion cost of your own\u00a0book. After conversion, your book will always be available on the digital bookshelf of your\u00a0readers.<\/p>\n

Our experience<\/h2>\n

At Johannes van Kessel Publishing we have a long-standing experience with the\u00a0conversion of regular books into e-books. In particular, when you have a book of\u00a0which the source text is in MS Word or in\u00a0LaTeX, we offer the service you are\u00a0looking for.<\/p>\n

Since we are very proud of our own books, we do all we can to make them as easily\u00a0accessible to our readers as possible, now and in the future. For that\u00a0reason, we strive to offer an e-book version of all our titles and invest in the\u00a0possibilities offered by e-book format, for instance to rent an e-book for a few\u00a0days. Since our publishing house started by publishing scientific books, right at the\u00a0beginning, we choose to use\u00a0LaTeX\u00a0as the preferred format for the source text.\u00a0Conversion from\u00a0LaTeX\u00a0into ePub (2 or 3) or Kindle is very reliable and doesn\u2019t require extensive\u00a0manual adaptation of the result file. Of course, we will test the result on the\u00a0e-reader, on the iPad\/iPhone or on Kindle.<\/p>\n

What is our procedure?<\/h2>\n

Conversion to ePub (2 or 3) or Kindle has to be fine-tuned. That\u2019s why we prefer to give a quote that\u00a0is directly relevant to your case. Please fill out the form (by clicking GET OUR BID<\/a>)\u00a0to get an impression. You\u00a0will be asked to indicate what kind of documents you want to convert (preferred source\u00a0format: MS Word or\u00a0LaTeX), and some other specifics (Number of pages? Are\u00a0there images in the documents? Tables?). It is then easy for us to make a precise\u00a0offer. Only when you have accepted, you are asked to send your files. We will handle your\u00a0material with great care and discretion. We will keep your files only during a period\u00a0agreed upon beforehand. Under no circumstances, files will be passed on to third\u00a0parties.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
